MAC Celebrates The Holidays

MAC's new collection, Glamour Daze came out October 25 and I managed to actually buy some things at my local MAC store, although they ran out pretty quickly of a lot of things by the time I got there, so I just placed an order online for the rest of the items I wanted. 

I fell in love with the packaging the moment I saw pictures for it and knew I had to have something. I don't usually buy anything from the collections only because they come out with so many so close together but I couldn't resist myself this time. Besides, it's the holiday collection. It's too hard to pass up. I actually had to restrain myself from buying everything my MAC had simply because, do I really need more makeup? And I really don't want to see my credit card bill at the end of the month, so I only bought 3 items in store and ordered 3 items online. The bad part of it is, I'm still debating on whether or not to order some more before the collection runs out, but I really need to get started on the rest of my holiday shopping. 

Anyways, back to the beauty, MAC actually came out with a lot of things this season, but I guess it wouldn't be a holiday collection if they didn't.

4 All For Glamour Face Kits which come with a bronzing powder, 3 eye shadows, and 2 lipsticks. $49.50 

The other 3 are touch-up kits in Medium, Medium Dark and Dark.

Medium includes: Blot powder in Medium and Sheen Supreme lipstick in Fashion City $39.50

The 3 eye kits come in a turquoise leopard print clutch. $46.50

Sensual Peach, Decadently Pink and Drama Taupe which each come with 2 eye shadows, a Powerpoint eye pencil, an Opulash and a 257SE Medium Angled Shading Brush.

2 lip kits in a light pink leopard clutch. $39.50

Lavish Coral and Luxurious Pink which comes with a lipstick, a lipglass and a lip pencil.

MAC also came out with a 2 collections of 6 greeting cards and 12 gifts cards which are $10 each. They're made by kids that are affected by HIV/AIDS and all proceeds go to the MAC AIDS Fund.  

So....here's what I bought. A lipstick in Beauty which is a glaze, an extra dimension skinfinish in Suberb, the warm eyes face kit, 2 extra dimension eye shadows in Tall, Dark & Handsome and A Natural Flirt and a lipglass in Pink Fade. Their packaging is a bit different in that it's a shiny smooth black as opposed to the matte black that the regular makeup comes in. And the lipstick tube is all black, no silver at all. 

Each one is so pretty in their own right. I love the shimmer in each of the eye shadows and I absolutely love the face powder. It adds just a bit of shimmer on my cheekbones. I'm a huge fan of light pink lipstick and lipgloss (lipglasses as MAC calls them) so these 2 are perfect. How cute is the little bow on the eye kit?? It's adds just the right amount of girly-ness.
